Public Notices

Every regular meeting of the Board, including advisory committees, must be preceded by a posted agenda that advises the public of the meeting and the matters to be transacted or discussed (see Agendas). Public notices, as required by law, must be posted in a place accessible to the public 24 hours a day.  Examples include:  Notices of a Public Hearing, Notices of Adjournment, Notices of Determination (CEQA), etc.  Any current public notices will be posted on this page.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on Monday, June 1, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the Board Room of the Valley Center Municipal Water District, 29300 Valley Center Rd., Valley Center, California, a public hearing before the District Board of Directors will be held to discuss the continuation of an annual $10/acre with a $10/parcel per year minimum water availability charge on all property within the District. The charge is used to fund capital improvements.

In accordance with Government Code Section 7910, notice is hereby given that on June 1, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. at 29300 Valley Center Road, the Board of Directors will, by resolution, establish the District’s 2020-21 appropriation limit pursuant to Article XIIIB of the State Constitution as amended by Proposition 111 effective July 1, 1990. The appropriation limit for 2020-21 is to be set at $7,369,868 and was calculated as set forth below. Documentation of the computation is available in the office of the Director of Finance of the District at the above address.

Notice of Public Hearing

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Directors of the Valley Center Municipal Water District will conduct Public Hearings on Monday June 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, to receive public comments on the below listed items. Adpotion of resolutions making findings that the cost of the two proposed solar power purchase agreements with High Mountain Investments, LLC, for the Lower Moosa Canyon WRF located at 8711 Circle R Drive, Escondido, CA 92026 and the District's corporate facility located at 29300 Valley Center Road, Valley Center, CA 92082 will each offset and will be less than the anticipated marginal cost to the District of electrical or other energy that would have been consumed by the District if such projects were not completed.
